Reason #3
(for retirement in Mexico)

El Mercado

El hombre and I (la mujer) are foodies. We like to cook. We like to eat. We like local and organic produce. So, we like the market experience. And, guess what! We can get fresh fruit and vegetables all year round. And they're cheap.

Reason #2
(for retiring in Mexico)

from Abe to Benito
13 Mexican pesos = $1 US

In the non-touristy areas of Mexico, where prices have not been inflated due to vacationer demand, it is possible to live comfortably on a modest retirement income. Generally speaking, the cost of living is 1/3 lower that in the U.S. And not because the paper money is 1/3 smaller. Let's see..., comfortable climate, comfortable prices..., what's not to like?

2. New Mexico?
3. Do you speak Spanish?
4. What about health care?
