The symphony has started up again. This season celebrates Beethoven and the 20th anniversary of the symphony. Many violin solos:

This was a PowerPoint presentation by some ear specialist on Beethoven's deafness. I had hoped, post-retirement, never to have to suffer through another PowerPoint presentation. But there was the screen, with long paragraphs of unreadable text which the presenter read to us. I dozed off.
