JALAPEÑOS

There's an elderly woman at market who only sells a few things from her stall, but she always has beautiful jalapeños.  When I paid her for these, she crossed herself.  I'm not sure what that means.


I removed the stems, covered them with water and boiled them for 20 minutes.
Then I put them in the blender with some salt and maybe 1/4 cup of vinegar.
Not as hot as you might think.  I would never take the seeds out of hot or dried peppers.  I think the seeds are what peppers are all about.


I put a couple of teaspoons full in some pico de gallo,



and el sr J made tortilla chips.


Got to go eat some now.
